If you are looking for a fabulous way to showcase all of those photos piling up on your computer, Blurb is definitely the way to go. I recently decided to test the company out myself, and can now honestly say it was the easiest photobook service I have ever used, with a simply beautiful result. See for yourself!
I opted for a hardcover “Standard Portrait” book which measures 8″ x 10″ (several other sizes and formats are available). I chose to include a photo and text on the cover and spine but nothing on the back of the book. Here is what it looks like:
I decided to keep my inside cover page simple:
It was very simple to upload photos right from my computer to Blurb (although choosing the photos was not as easy)! I was able to easily rearrange and even edit photos all in the same place. After putting my photos in the order in which I wanted them to appear in my book, I began to create the pages. Changing formats was as simple as a click. Here are two of the pages I created (one with text, one without):
As you can see, I now have a beautiful 50+ page keepsake of a year’s worth of special photos in one place. These books are also great for allowing your students and/or children to create their own storybooks! Have children write a story and create pictures to go along with it; scan the pictures and upload them to Blurb, then create a photobook using the images and helping children to input the text. Kids will be SO proud to have a “real” book published!
Best of all, Blurb is currently offering 20% off your entire purchase! Click the banner at the top of this post to get started now! You won’t be disappointed!
